Safety Operation Manual
NPAU provides all its employees with a Safety Operation Manual, which stipulates basic safety issues, such as operation methods, ways to handle hazardous materials, and facility management methods. The manual has been revised based on reviews of past disasters, so as to prevent any recurrence. The manual, has been translated into English, Chinese, and other languages, and utilized on a global basis.
Employees are encouraged to read the Safety Operation Manual aloud at morning assemblies and other occasions and to understand and observe safety rules concerning their tasks on a routine basis. For new employees, educational programs are provided concerning the possible risks of organic solvents and machines so as to prevent accidents (such as being caught in a machine). For new managers, educational programs are provided to deepen their sense of responsibility for securing their staff’s safety, in addition to their own safety.
Seminar on measures against static electricity
Regular seminars are held for employees who handle hazardous materials. Using a laboratory instrument that generates static electricity, the seminar is designed to provide hands-on experience about the risk of static electricity and needs for safety measures.
